The Claremont district is an East Bay neighborhood straddling the city limits of Oakland and Berkeley. The area is named after the Historic Claremont Hotel, built between 1906 to1915. The area was developed after the 1906 earthquake in SF when many families moved out of the city. Claremont is known for beautiful architectural homes and tree-lined streets.
